- onion 30.0 g
- butter 15.0 g
- Garlic Powder 1.0 tsp
- Ground Onion 1.0 tsp
- table salt 1.0 tsp
- ground black pepper 1.0 tsp
- mayonnaise 50.0 g
- ketchup 20.0 g
- mustard 10.0 g
- dill pickles 30.0 g
Cooking Instructions
Thinly slice the onion and tomato. Wash the lettuce leaves and pat dry with paper towels.
Divide the ground beef into two equal portions and form into circular patties about 2cm thick. Create a small dimple in the center of each patty with your thumb to prevent bulging during cooking.
Season both sides of the patties generously with salt, ground black pepper, garlic powder, and ground onion powder. **CAUTION: Wash your hands thoroughly after handling raw beef.**
Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Spread butter onto the cut sides of the brioche buns and toast them in the skillet until golden brown, then remove and set aside.
In the same skillet, place the beef patties. Sear for 3-4 minutes on the first side without moving them to develop a deep crust.
Flip the patties and immediately top each with a slice of cheddar cheese. Cover the skillet with a lid for 1-2 minutes to melt the cheese until the internal temperature of the meat reaches 71°C.
Spread a generous layer of Burger Sauce on the bottom half of the toasted brioche buns.
Layer the lettuce, the cheesy beef patty, sliced tomatoes, and onions. Top with the remaining bun half and serve immediately.
Finely mince the dill pickles until they reach a relish-like consistency.
In a small mixing bowl, combine the mayonnaise, ketchup, and mustard.
Add the minced pickles to the bowl and stir until the mixture is fully emulsified and uniform in color.
Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary, then set aside in the refrigerator until ready to assemble.
