Ingredients
- all-purpose flour 250.0 g
- butter 14.0 g
- baking powder 5.0 g
- table salt 0.5 tsp
- Chili Powder 0.125 tsp
- Water 180.0 ml
Cooking Instructions
Combine flour, baking powder, salt, taco seasoning, and room temperature butter into a mixer bowl equipped with a dough hook.
Mix the dry ingredients and butter until roughly combined.
Add water and mix on medium speed until a smooth dough forms, which should take approximately 2 minutes.
Remove the dough and divide it into 10-12 equal portions (approximately 37g each).
On a lightly floured surface, roll each portion into a circle using a rolling pin until it reaches a dime's thickness.
Heat a dry cast-iron skillet over medium to medium-high heat.
Place dough circles in the dry pan and cook until golden bubbles form. Flip and cook briefly to color the other side.
Stack the cooked tortillas with paper towels between them to maintain softness and prevent sogginess.
