Black Pepper Beef Instructions
Prep
1. Place the sliced beef steak in a bowl together with the cornstarch, sesame oil, 1 teaspoon of black pepper, and soy sauce. Stir well to coat and let it marinate for 10-15 minutes.
Cook
2. Heat a large pan over medium heat. Drizzle with the vegetable oil and add the beef in a single layer.
3. Cook for 2-3 minutes undisturbed, then flip and continue to cook for 1-2 minutes more. Set aside on a plate.
4. Add the sliced bell peppers to the same pan and stir-fry for about 5 minutes.
5. Stir in the chopped garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
6. Return the beef to the pan and sprinkle everything with the brown sugar.
7. Add the rice vinegar and a generous sprinkle of freshly cracked pepper.
8. Add a splash of filtered water and stir everything together for 1 minute.
Serve
9. Remove from heat and serve immediately while hot, ideally with a side of white rice.
